For this joyful engagement photoshoot we’re in the heart of Downtown Austin, Texas! For my urban loving couples, this is one of my favorite places to have photoshoots because there are so many options. Like, there’s the murals on South Congress Ave (check out Jo’s Coffee!), the parking garages Downtown, the cute park at Auditorium Shores, and much more!
Would you believe me if I told you that this incredibly sweet couple only had a handful of photos together? As a wedding photographer my heart breaks when couples tell me they don’t have many photos with each other! Nevertheless, it makes it that much more special when you trust me to document your moments.
If you find yourself in the same boat, engaged or not, we need to talk!
Funny story, Addy is actually the one who longboards! Connor could barely even stand on the board for more than 10 seconds! So funny. I love when my couples bring meaningful props to play around with!
The original pose that I wanted to try was to have them both stand on the board, but it was so hard to balance! So we decided it was safer to have one foot off to stabilize. I still love how they turned out!
Don’t they just have the most infectious smiles?! They truly were such joyful souls and had so much love for each other!
I had actually never photographed at this specific parking lot before! All the other garages I usually shoot at were closed, so I had to find a new one. However, I’m so glad that I did because it turned out to be a gorgeous gallery!
As a couples photographer, I love having sessions on rooftops of parking garages because they’re private (social distancing please!), and the buildings in the background make for a great portrait of the city. It’s perfect for couples who love to hang out in Downtown Austin!
If you have been dying to have your own rooftop session or engagement photoshoot with me, send me an email and we’ll pick a date to make it happen!
